Happy New year everyone. 2017

Hello all the lovely people,wishing you a very Happy New year.2017 is here and i feel this year is going to be mine. I have already jotted down my goals for this year,its going to be crucial and i promised to myself i wont be procrastinating and wasting away my time. It always helps when we write down our plans,i believe we get clarity and vision of our aspirations.This year started off with a positive note ,well it might not be a huge accomplishment but for me it is huge in its own way. So the accomplishment is, i got voted by majority for the best dish on the potluck party for New Years Eve at our friends place.I could not believe myself but honestly i had a gut feel that my dish would stand out. Well,i am mentioning about this because the dish what i had prepared was bagara baingan (for all who dont know its an indian eggplant curry),when i first came to States ie an year back i hardly knew much of cooking,and this curry was out of my reach.But on my first attempt , as i knew it,it was a disaster,poor Mr.Husband,ate it and encouraged me not to stop trying,i tried and tried and always something went wrong,soon i started fearing to cook it,but somewhere i had a never to give up attitude and finally one day i just realized how to cook it like a pro. From then on there was no stopping for me. What surprised me was there were non vegetarian dishes as well and i was like there wont be a chance of my dish standing out but it did and it gave me boost that i can achieve whatever i want if i never give up and believe in myself.So the moral of the story is no matter what do not give up,persist,try hard and you will get it.So here is a picture of my dish what i had prepared.
