Boundaries and contents of femoral triangle :


BOUNDARIES :

SUPERIORLY : Inguinal Ligament

MEDIALLY : Lateral border of Adductor Longus

LATERALLY : Medial border of Sartorius

FLOOR : Pectineus ,Adductor Longus and Iliopsoas

ROOF : Fascialata except for saphenous opening which is formed by cribriform fascia.

CONTENTS :


From lateral to medial :

1) Femoral nerve and its branches

2) Femoral sheath and its contents

3) Femoral artery and its branches

4) Femoral vein and its proximal tributaries ( eg : Great Saphenous vein and its tributaries)

5) Deep inguinal lymph nodes and associated lymphatic veins.
